Our thanks to Robert Hay, the Founder of the Rama Lotus Yoga Centre (1993) and the creator of this beautiful, sacred space in nature originally called The Yoga Garden Retreat. We are now creating the Gaia Wellness Retreat in this setting to serve you and your community…. This space has been created to provide a tranquil escape into nature for people to take time away for themselves, to connect authentically with others and to just escape the everyday and have some fun! When you allow yourself time to retreat, you give yourself the gifts of time and space. Personal retreats are an opportunity for a true reunion with the real you. By drawing back from the usual routines and obligations, shedding the usual roles and demands, you get closer and closer to your essential self, your true nature and remember what it feels like when you are well rested, well nourished, nurtured by mindfulness and feeling renewed from time away in a peaceful and tranquil environment. A retreat offers you space to connect with the inner resources, strength and inspiration needed to return to life feeling rejuvenated and re-connected. A retreat opens the door for you to do something great for yourself, and in the process do something great for everyone you touch in your life. If you're willing to honestly challenge yourself, a retreat can be a life-changing experience. It allows you the space and time to contemplate life, reevaluate who you are, and become better equipped to travel your journey. And in turn, you'll be better able to support the people in your life---at work, at home, and at play---and contribute to their well-being as you contribute to your own.

At Gaia Wellness Retreat we strive to offer all of our guests a serene and calming escape from the busyness of life and an opportunity to connect with nature and themselves. Our B&B is open year-round so that guests are able to enjoy all there is to offer in nature during the different seasons.

None of our cabins offer a bathroom but our clean, environmentally friendly Honey Pot Outhouses are conveniently located near by. Guests also have 24 hour access to the washrooms in the main lodge. Guests can also access the kitchen in the main lodge and if you are staying in our B&B, we will provide you with a shelf in the fridge to store your food. The only cabin that offers a kitchenette is our Samadhi cabin, but it does not have running water at this time.
I am very interested in attending one of your retreats but unfortunately I can't afford full price.
We believe everyone should be able to take time for themselves and restore their minds, bodies and souls. This includes anyone experiencing financial difficulty.

Please fill out our Scholarship Application and email it to Billie billie@gaiawellnessretreat.com. She will review your application and get in touch with you to discuss things further.
Are you close to a ski resort?
Yes, if you go to our Tourist Attractions Page you will find all the information on local ski resorts + other things to do in the area. Also we are located in the heart of the Gatineau's, where there is always an outdoor activity available to enjoy :)
Are the beds comfortable?
Oh yes!! All of our beds are either brand new or newer mattresses and we find them all super comfy. If you have an illness or disability that requires you to sleep on a very comfortable mattress, we have you covered also with a number of fantastic beds.
Can we bring alcohol?
B&B - Yes we allow guests to bring alcohol. We just ask you to be respectful of other guests who may be wanting to have a quiet experience.

Group Rentals - If you are attending a retreat it will be up to your facilitator to decide if alcohol is welcome at the retreat. Please respect their requests of you.

Corporate Rentals - As part of the mindful experience we are hoping to provide you during your stay with us we recommend that you choose to skip the alcohol during your retreat and instead spend the time here connecting with yourself and your team.

Weddings and Events - This will be listed on the Wedding Invitation or Event Advertisement

And hey listen you really won't need the extra 'buzz" while your here. The property naturally calls you to a peaceful state of contemplation that you won't want to alter in any way. We guarantee it!
