Private Campground

Prince Edward, ON

Imagine a hot sunny day and a calm lake, smooth as glass and you are gliding along in your canoe. None of life's pressures or stresses on your mind, just the sound of birds in the trees, the slight whisper of a breeze, and the odd fish jumping in West Lake waiting to be caught.
We are situated on our own little cove, with a sandy beach and the most wonderful view of the world famous SAND DUNES. You can swim in the clear waters or get to the Lake by boat for a great day of fishing. There are so many things to do! Take your barbecue and a packed food basket and have a picnic on the dunes. You couldn't ask for anything better. All this is waiting for you at Edgewater Family Camping Resort.
AmenitiesWe are a family oriented campground and have 84 sites for seasonal trailers and 40 tenting sites for overnight or weekend camping. (see campsite map) There is a great mix of shade trees in our 10 acre Park as well as some partially sunny sites if that is your preference.
Edgewater offers the best in family camping. Our Park is tiered to give a view of the Lake to most of our Seasonal families. Imagine being able to see the ever changing sands of the World Famous Dunes from a lazy chair on your trailer site. We still have a selection of seasonal sites left with a mix of 15 to 30amp. On any given day you will see children fishing or swimming off the boat dock. You can play volleyball in the sand, bike ride, walk the island road or soak up the sun. The horseshoe pits see a lot of use whether for a lazy game or a rousing tournament on weekends. Our family tenting area is dotted with mature trees for shade and some sun. They are no-service sites with a central water tap. Dad/Mom & their small children can fit nicely on the site.
Our seasonal trailer lots are tiered for the best possible view of the world famous Dunes from each lot. Our Park offers a good mix of treed lots as well as some that take advantage of the sun if you so desire. Many of our seasonal tenants are retirees and families. We have a good selection of seasonal sites available. There is a mix of 15, 20 & 30 amp hydro available.
There is a large picnic area well shaded with large mature trees. Don't forget to bring your bicycle to tour around the many mapped areas in The County, or you can rent one in nearby Bloomfield.
We are proud of our Lodge which is made of logs from good Prince Edward County trees and was constructed some 80 years ago. It is our gathering place for activities or for just sitting in front of the floor to ceiling fireplace. You can watch satellite T.V. on a 12' screen, shoot a game of pool, or play a great game of darts. We must not forget the ice cream and candy store in the Lodge for the sweet tooth's of the Park. Our seasonal campers also have an active social committee. They are always planning activities for our campers to enjoy.
"WEST LAKE WILLY" Is Edgewater Park's sea monster. It has been said that he inhabits West Lake. He apparently can be spotted if you look to the west just after sundown. Some say that you need to be a child at heart to be able to see him. Who knows!, maybe you will be the lucky one.
